§ 6-8-306. Interagency cooperation.

    The Federal Clean Water Act authorizes the issuance of the NPDES permit and provides for cooperative implementation of requirements and interagency allocations of program resources and burdens. The coordinated effort of the County and the co-permittees is reflected in the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit Implementation Agreement for the Santa Ana Region, the NPDES permit, the DAMP, the City's local implementation plan, this chapter and the Enforcement Consistency Guide, the Appendices to the DAMP, including, but not limited to, the development project guidance, monitoring and data collection cooperation and regular emergency and spill response planning activities.

    B.

    The City may elect to contract for the services of any public agency or private enterprise to carry out the planning approvals, inspections, permits and enforcement authorized by this chapter.
